The Integrated Renewal Program (IRP) team worked on the launch of Workday HR (HCM), Payroll, and Finance in 2020. Today, the IRP Student team is focused on the launch of Workday Student as well as other integrated systems that support UBC’s student information ecosystem. Workday Student is launching in phases over the 2023 and 2024 academic years.
How the IRP and the ISC Work Together
The IRP is responsible for the design and development of new systems and additional Workday modules, such as Workday Student. Once these are launched and hypercare (a period of dedicated support to help faculty and staff through the transition) ends, they will eventually transition to the department that will be supporting them on an ongoing basis, such as IT, the ISC, etc.
The ISC and IRP Student collaborate and coordinate to support a smooth transition for the community. The ISC also helps to evaluate impacts and risks for Workday HR (HCM), Finance, and Payroll as a result of the changes being made to support Workday Student and other systems that integrate with Workday.
With the launch of Workday Student, the ISC will support the IRP Student team and Enrolment Services to help manage Workday Student inquiries. In the future, the ISC will provide direct support to UBC employees who use Workday Student and help manage Workday Student system updates.
